If you made a bet with someone 20 years ago that both the Super Bowl and Final Four would be held in Las Vegas they would call you crazy and happily take your money. Even back then with no one envisioning that Las Vegas would ever get an NFL franchise there isn't a better city anywhere to host the two events with the plethora of hotel rooms and the fact that you could build a stadium near the Strip. 150,000 hotel rooms. Great weather. Unlimited number of restaurants. Detroit is depressing and Indianapolis can't offer the accommodations Las Vegas has. I was in Detroit quite a while ago and they have made improvements in the downtown area but still it isn't a place I would want to go to see a Final Four.
